By Emily M. Levenson, National Business WriterThe National Business Council has issued an Urban Skin Awareness Week, where the agency is partnering with local skin care companies to educate consumers about skin care products and how to use them safely.
The goal of the program is to encourage people to buy and use products with the proper ingredients, while also educating them about how to avoid skin problems from the skin care industry.
“Urban Skin RX is a great opportunity to educate customers on the best practices and safety of skin care, as well as to share their experience with us on our popular Instagram channels,” said Rachel Levenston, chief operating officer at the National Business Chamber.
“This week, we are launching Urban Skin in partnership with some of the country’s leading skin care brands to promote awareness and provide them with the information they need to make a more informed choice.”
Urban Skin includes products from a variety of skin-care brands, including Urban Decay, Aveda, The Cosmetics Company, Revlon, L’Oreal, and others.
Urban Skin is available online and at retail stores nationwide.
The program is available for select Urban Decay products, while Urban Decay’s Skin Perfector is also available in stores and online.
Other brands that will be participating include Revlon and Urban Decay.
Other retailers participating include Urban Outfitters, Macy’s, and Ulta.
